A community to connect us, beauty to inspire us, science to inform us, and spirit to lift us.

Ion Village is an intention community based on timeless human needs and values, living in a semi-integrated way in the science and technology of the 21st Century. We believe in self-sustained ways of living that involve cultivating our crafts, cultivating the land and more than anything, cultivating our connection to spirit and to one another. As we gain insight and inspiration from the arts and science of the rest of the world, we too give back to the world with our beauty, purpose and experience. Ion Villagers are integrated with the world, and our brothers and sisters of the world join us in order to share in our lives.

Each one of us contributes as he/she chooses, with the sole purpose of raising up the community and its members.

We want to view the creative works of the world and give back some of our own. Science and technology are integrated into our lives only insofar as it benefits us and helps us grow bigger, better lives. We also choose not to use technology if abstaining helps us to connect to each other or to earth or spirit.

We decide by consensus.

We surround ourselves with beauty and grow it at every turn as it is a necessity to a wonderful life, not an expendable element.

We live by water, on the earth, with fire and through the air. Our relationship to the four elements is a measure of our connectedness to all that is. They are part of our daily lives and live deep within each one of us.
